Eleanor and her team took care of everything along the way: Not only vetting and touring properties, negotiating a fantastic price, finding tradespeople toflesh out the survey and ensure we know exactly what were the issues of our old stone home, navigating to a successful and timely close, and ensuring our utilities were connected properly; but also evaluating our wants and needs for renovation and providing comprehensive counsel on multiple optionswith rough price estimates to aid our planning and streamline conversations with architects and builders. When things should have been simple and werenot, she was right there to step in and provide clarification and set things right.

Looking back on the experience, it would have been impossible to navigate this purchase alone – or with the wrong team. We worked with another higher-profile company to relocate from America to France and while all the contractual boxes were checked, we would not say it was a satisfying experience:We felt like a number rather than valued clients, completely opposite of our experience with Eleanor.

When I decided to purchase a property in France, I began researching and quickly realized the process was more complex than I expected. I also found that searching property listings was not easy, especially when I only knew of the major cities.

I sought someone knowledgeable in the French housing market and the buying process for foreigners, which led me to Eleanor Moore. Eleanor explained the process and her services during a virtual meeting, subsequently providing a written report explaining the process, her services and fees, and a recap of our consultation.

Prior to my first trip to France, Eleanor provided a detailed spreadsheet of the properties both she and I had found. The spreadsheet included descriptions, prices, and locations of the properties, along with helpful information and space for my feedback. It was my decision on which properties to view. Eleanor continued to update the spreadsheet with new properties (or remove unavailable ones) right up until the days before my arrival in France. She also used the spreadsheet and my feedback to plan an itinerary that would make best use of my time while there and allow me to see as many properties as possible.

Eleanor’s assurance that she would take care of everything was entirely accurate. She managed all aspects of my trip: picking me up at the airport, scheduling property viewings, booking hotel accommodation along the planned route, and so much more.

After deciding on a property, Eleanor guided me through every step of the purchasing process. I never felt lost, confused, or unsure. She directed me to all necessary resources to complete the property purchase in France. Even post-closing, Eleanor continued to assist by facilitating utility services and meetings with contractors.

Reflecting on the experience, I realized I had placed my trust in someone I had never met who resided in another country.
